Responsibilities
- Prospecting and selling complex PayU payment solutions within the European Economic Area (including but not limited to Poland, the Czech Republic, and Romania) to large businesses in traditional e-commerce and other industries such as gambling, gaming, crypto, and brokerage firms not currently serviced by PayU (pure hunting role).
- Building and managing a sales pipeline and developing plans to bring identified opportunities to successful close to meet individual annual sales quota.
- Active participation in industry events and conferences to attract new prospects and collect leads (several events a year across the EEA; moderate business travel).
- Managing the full sales process from cold calling and pipeline building to closed-won.
- Partnering with other PayU teams to align approach to large-scale prospects and creating attractive sales offers for targeted merchants.
- Maintaining sales leads and merchant records in CRM, providing accurate and timely forecast data.
- Taking personal accountability for achieving individual and shared goals (setting robust plans in advance, initiating actions to move projects forward, managing time effectively, and monitoring performance against deadlines and milestones).
- Demonstrating strong knowledge of the e-commerce payments industry, competitors’ activity, and market trends.
- Identifying opportunities to promote PayU payment services to prospective customers in defined verticals (traditional e-commerce and industries such as gambling, gaming, crypto, and brokerage firms).
- Establishing and developing PayU’s relationships with prospective customers, focusing on key decision makers.
- Strategically partnering with business and technical teams internally and externally to meet merchants’ expectations.
- Being accountable for establishing sales strategies and mobilizing appropriate PayU resources to close opportunities.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in direct B2B sales (pure hunting, not account management).
- Experience selling PSP/e-payments in e-commerce is an advantage.
- Proven track record in direct acquisition of large-scale merchants.
- Goal-driven with strong customer and business orientation.
- Innovative, with out-of-the-box thinking while managing customer expectations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mentality.
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to create constructive tension in sales, using data analytics to generate insights that inspire merchants, teach them new approaches, and show how to make or save money.
- Never give up attitude with abilities to find alternative ways to get things done.
- Align insights to key customer priorities and connect them to PayU differentiators.
- Understand customers’ value drivers and reframe customers’ view of their business.
- Drive two-way communication.
Language qualifications: As the role is targeted for EEA and focus on Poland, Czechia and Romania we are searching for people with such language skills:
- Polish native speaker, fully proficient in English (employment in Poland or Czech Republic)
- Czech native speaker, fully proficient in English (employment in Czech Republic or Poland)
- Romanian native speaker, fully proficient in English (employment in Romania or Poland)
