Job description
ON.energy is building the power infrastructure that makes the AI era possible. As AI demand surges past what the grid and traditional data centers can support, ON.energy provides a new class of power technology proven at gigawatt scale and trusted by the world’s leading cloud and AI companies. Our systems are already deployed across 2.5 GW of hyper-scale campuses, validated by top U.S. national labs, and certified for grid-safe operation by major utilities. With real products in the field, we’re scaling faster than the grid can, transforming power from a bottleneck into a competitive advantage for the companies building the future.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Preventative Maintenance

Reactive Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Respond to equipment alarms, faults, and unplanned failures in a timely manner, performing systematic diagnosis and root cause identification.
- Execute testing procedures including insulation resistance, continuity, and functional testing to isolate faults and confirm equipment readiness post-repair.
- Perform component-level repair and replacement on inverters, battery modules, switchgear, and associated balance-of-plant equipment.
- Document all corrective maintenance activities, findings, and parts used within the CMMS and report outcomes to the O&M Manager.
On-Call & After-Hours Response
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, maintaining availability to respond to site alarms and equipment issues outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Respond to on-call callouts within the required response time and take appropriate action to restore equipment to safe and operational status.
- Communicate clearly with the O&M Manager during after-hours events, providing timely status updates and escalating where required.
CMMS & Data Integrity
- Create, update, and close work orders within the CMMS for all preventative and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with site data entry standards.
- Ensure equipment histories, parts consumption, and labor records are accurately captured to support asset lifecycle management and reporting.
- Follow CMMS workflows and procedures as directed by the O&M Manager; contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance records and documentation quality.
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all site safety protocols, OSHA standards, NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements, and ON.energy work instructions at all times.
- Participate actively in toolbox talks, safety briefings, incident investigations, and corrective action implementation.
- Maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures are followed for all maintenance activities.
- Report all near-misses, incidents, and unsafe conditions to the O&M Manager immediately.
