Advisory System Engineer - Hong Kong

Who You'll Work With

You will collaborate with customers, partners, account teams, TAC, and engineering organizations to drive the adoption and success of SD-WAN/SD-Branch and enterprise networking solutions. As a trusted technical advisor, you will work across pre-sales and post-sales engagements, helping customers architect, deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize scalable, secure, and resilient network infrastructures.

What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced pre/ post-sales support for SD-WAN/VeloCloud and networking deployments.
• Review customer network designs and recommend deployment best practices.
• Lead or assist with migrations and interconnectivity between multi-vendor environments.
• Develop and validate network configurations and implementation plans.
• Support implementation activities, change controls, and production rollouts.
• Conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) and in-depth testing to validate solution designs.
• Perform software/code reviews and provide upgrade and bug remediation recommendations.
• Proven knowledge of VeloCloud solutions such as VCE/VCG/VCO deployment
• Solid experience in integration of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solution vendors into VeloCloud Solution
• Act as the technical liaison between customers, TAC, product engineering, and development teams.
• Advise customers on network architecture, product capabilities, prerequisites, and design considerations.
• Translate business and operational requirements into scalable SD-WAN and networking solutions.
• Support pre-sales teams with solution design, technical workshops, and customer presentations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and key stakeholders.
• Deliver technical training and knowledge transfer sessions to customer and partner teams.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and maintain expertise through continuous learning.
• Contribute to process improvements and undertake additional technical responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English and Mandarin
• BS/CS/CE Business or Technical degree required; MBA/MS degree a strong plus
• Network Industry Certification preferred (e.g. CCIE (R&S), JNCIE, ACE-5,6,7)
• You possess a minimum of 5+ years of L2/L3 networking design and implementation experience with a focus on Data Center, Campus, and WIFI solutions
• Strong presentation and selling skills including communication of complex technical material
• Solid understanding and knowledge of how to build successful relationships between an equipment manufacturer and a customer base of executives, architects, engineers and operations teams
• Good interpersonal skills, customer relations skills, and problem management skills, with the ability to stay calm and professional under pressure while working to strict deadlines
• Experience creating technical material (slides, white papers, battle cards, solution guides, etc)
• You possess recent experience in leaf-spine architecture design.
• Demonstrated work experience as either a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales SE or Network Consulting Engineer preferred
• Expert knowledge in the following areas: Ethernet, RSTP/ MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, eBGP, VxLAN, EVPN, Multicast, Spanning Tree, QoS
• Expert level knowledge of industry-standard CLI
• Previous experience building network automation using Python and Ansible HIGHLY desired.
• Strong writing skills and ability to create informative white papers on technology and products is highly desired
