Join Our Team at Our New Weymouth Location!We're excited to be opening a brand-new office in Weymouth and are looking for dedicated team members to help us launch this location successfully. Prior to the office opening, candidates must be willing to complete training at other nearby sites. About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Photographer to join our expanding Ophthalmology team. In this specialized role, you will utilize advanced imaging technology to capture high-quality diagnostic images that support the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of a wide range of eye conditions.
Working closely with Ophthalmologists and clinical staff, you will play an important role in patient care by producing accurate and detailed ophthalmic images that assist providers in making informed clinical decisions. This position combines technical expertise, patient interaction, and clinical collaboration in a fast-paced and highly specialized environment.
What You'll Do
Perform a variety of ophthalmic imaging procedures, including fundus, wide-angle, anterior segment, and external photography
Review provider orders in EPIC and ensure all imaging studies are completed accurately and efficiently
Capture high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining strict patient identification and documentation standards
Utilize specialized photographic equipment and imaging systems to obtain images for patient care, teaching, and clinical documentation
Explain imaging procedures to patients, answer questions, and help ensure a positive patient experience
Provide patient education and instruction regarding ophthalmic photography, fluorescein angiography, and indocyanine green (ICG) angiography procedures
Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures and respond appropriately to any concerns or adverse reactions, ensuring patient safety and comfort
Accurately document imaging studies and related information within the EPIC electronic health record
Collaborate closely with physicians, technicians, and other members of the care team to support efficient patient flow and exceptional clinical outcomes

Training & Scheduling Information
To ensure a successful onboarding experience, training may take place at one of our established Ophthalmology locations prior to the Weymouth site becoming fully operational. Occasional travel to support other locations may be required based on operational needs.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Bachelor's Degree Photography preferred
