Job Summary The Cargo Agent is responsible for Organization of warehouse and storage facilities; arrange warehouse handling equipment and load/unload air cargo. Maintain the required safety and quality standards as well as comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and company policies. Your activities Cargo Agent Job Functions include but are not limited to: Notifying customers and consignees of the arrival of their shipment. Check and tally and house cargo for proper piece count, weight, and documents as appropriate. Report all interferences or tampering of freight /or observations of interferences or possible tampering of freight. Load/unload air cargo from/to trucks. Prepare and palletize cargo as needed. Assure proper handling and delivery of cargo and operation of related equipment. Follow Dangerous Goods Requirements and Regulations. Comply with Swissport Standard Operating Procedures and Policies. Prepare airline and customs documentation. Comply with company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and policies. Ensure paperwork is prepared timely and accurately. Make sure paperwork related to the cargo is correct before release. Assure proper compliance with local and international laws and regulations. Follow Dangerous Goods Requirements and Regulations. All other duties as assigned.
