Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Staff Accountant III serves as the primary financial anchor for the retail wireless business unit, transforming highly complex inventory data into actionable strategic insights. This role manages critical operational challenges by performing high-volume, multi-system reconciliations between internal platforms and third-party logistics warehouse management systems to mitigate variance risk. By designing robust internal controls and analyzing inventory shrinkage, the position maintains structural compliance while safeguarding high-value corporate assets. Additionally, the role drives digital transformation across the accounting lifecycle through the implementation of automated, AI-driven workflows to streamline monthly close processes.
What Success Looks Like (Objectives)
•
Lead the month-end close process for retail wireless inventory by preparing complex financial entries, variance analyses, and supporting schedules.
•
Perform intricate reconciliations between internal databases and third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse systems to rapidly identify and resolve material discrepancies.
•
Oversee the retail wireless cycle counting program and physical audits, analyzing variance root causes to drive strategic shrinkage reduction.
•
Design, implement, and maintain rigorous Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls related to procurement, valuation, and disposal to guarantee continuous audit readiness.
•
Deploy advanced AI-driven automation tools and workflows to eliminate manual steps, accelerate close cycles, and enhance data reporting accuracy.
•
Collaborate as a key financial liaison with Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, and IT to optimize inventory pipelines and support new product rollouts.

Critical experience in managing complex general ledger operations, multi-system inventory analysis, and corporate financial statement preparation.

Advanced proficiency in enterprise resource planning systems, specifically Oracle and Orbit, paired with exceptional financial modeling capabilities in Microsoft Excel.
•
Strong skills in data interpretation, critical thinking, and independent problem-solving to synthesize disjointed datasets and perform reasonableness testing.
•
AI literacy and application skills to proactively identify, implement, and optimize automated workflows to eliminate repetitive accounting tasks.
•
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to translate complex financial variances into clear insights for diverse multi-functional teams.
•
Demonstrated decision-making capability and project management expertise to guide major financial initiatives from conception to execution under tight deadlines.
Minimum Requirements

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
•
Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience in accounting, general ledger operations, and inventory analysis

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $72,350.00/Year - $103,400.00/Year Benefits

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
