The role
You will be accountable for implementing world-class Partner development, senior leadership and coaching solutions across the firm focused at our potential and new partners.
You will ensure partners are developed and guided to deliver against the firm's strategy, ensuring they have the skills to build exceptional client relationships, develop talent and teams and execute against our AI and Brand priorities. In addition, you will drive the implementation of leadership development solutions for succession pipelines and partner career milestones.
Who you will work with
Reporting to the Global Head of Partner Development and working with closely with the Learning & Development (L&D) Team, Talent Team, plus other HR roles, functions and Partners globally.
What you will be responsible for
Partner Development
- Develop and implement partner and senior leadership development solutions aligned to business-critical leadership skills, including developing client relationships, people leadership, impactful career conversations and working collaboratively.
- Identify learning and development needs via a variety of sources including capability frameworks, performance review data, focus group interviews, feedback reviews, surveys, psychometric tools and other people metrics.
- Prepare internal proposals containing recommendations for programmes including learning objectives, learning methods, budget requirements and delivery plan.
- Develop communications and engagement strategy to support development solutions and programmes and embed learning to drive behavioral change.
- Evaluate and continuously improve leadership offerings based on impact, feedback, and evolving needs.
- Develop and implement solutions to provide partners with the mindset and skills to embrace and mobilise action around AI and Clifford Chance's brand.
- Implementation and delivery of leadership development for succession pipelines for leadership roles, including both individual and team integration support.
- Implementation and delivery of partner programmes to support partner career milestones, e.g. transitioning into equity partnership or transitioning out of the partnership.
Coaching & Individual Development
- Delivering coaching needs analysis and providing data insights to inform the Partner Career Journey and leadership development offering.
- Managing individual and team coaching requests.
- Integrating coaching solutions into leadership and partner development programmes.
Measurement & Return on Investment
- Develop and implement evaluation strategy to support the overall partner career journey and coaching strategy.
- Use data and feedback to measure program effectiveness, coaching impact, and long-term business outcomes.
Other key responsibilities
- Budget management and reporting for partner programmes and coaching.
- Relationship management of external providers including key partners for development solutions and programmes (e.g. external experts, consultants, business schools).
Your experience
- Solid expertise in leadership development, executive coaching, and organisational psychology.
- Strong facilitation and coaching skills.
- Highly collaborative, with excellent stakeholder engagement across global and matrixed environments.
- Executive influencing and advisory skills, demonstrating credibility with senior partners/C-suite.
- Results-oriented, with strong program design, implementation, and evaluation skills.
- Experience delivering leadership development and coaching programmes within complex, matrixed global organisations, ideally within professional services or a partnership environment.
- Proven experience leading and executing global leadership development strategies, ensuring delivery against business priorities and strategic objectives.
- Culturally intelligent, with experience designing leadership initiatives for diverse and global audiences.
- Experience using data and feedback to inform decision making, contributing to the evaluation of programmes and helping to shape strategy and investment priorities.
- An understanding of the legal sector or experience working in a law firm or regulated professional environment is a strong advantage.
- A coaching certification from a recognised body (e.g. ICF, EMCC) is desired.
