Job Title: Senior SDET - ETL
Position Summary
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and reliability of ETL processes and data pipelines
- Design and implement automated testing for data transformation and migration
- Work closely with data engineers and business teams to resolve data quality issues
- Improve data pipeline performance through scalable test frameworks
Key Responsibilities
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical designs for testability
- Define and implement test strategies for ETL and data workflows
- Plan, prioritize, and execute testing activities
- Build and maintain ETL automation frameworks
- Develop and execute automated test scripts
- Validate data transformation, migration, and integrity
- Identify, log, and track defects through resolution
- Perform regression testing and root cause analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system requirements
- Track QA metrics (defect density, test coverage, etc.)
- Continuously improve testing processes and tools
- Mentor and support junior team members
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in ETL/Data Testing
- Strong experience in ETL testing and automation framework development
- Hands-on experience in Python and PySpark (mandatory)
- Advanced SQL skills with large-scale data handling experience
- Experience with ETL tools like Informatica
- Hands-on experience in AWS cloud environments
- Exposure to test automation and DevOps practices
- Experience managing delivery priorities and team coordination
- Strong communication skills for business and cross-team collaboration
Preferred Skills
- Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop ecosystem)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
