Job description

Get to Know the Team

GrabMart is Grab's premier on-demand daily essentials and grocery delivery service, bringing everything from local storefronts to our customers' doorsteps. Operating within Grab's massive ecosystem, our mission is to deliver unmatched speed, convenience, and reliability to millions of consumers across Southeast Asia.

Get to Know the Role

As the Supply Chain Strategy & Planning Associate, you will serve as the analytical engine driving the long-term efficiency and growth of our logistics network. You will bridge the gap between raw data and executive decision-making, focusing on the architectural design of our 1P (first-party) network and the financial sustainability of our consumer-facing shipping programs.

Working at the intersection of operations, finance, and data science, you will be responsible for modeling complex supply chain scenarios that ensure GrabMart remains the most efficient qCommerce provider in the region.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • 1P Network Design: Lead the strategic planning for our first-party (1P) network, including the geographic placement of dark stores and distribution centers to maximize coverage while minimizing fulfillment costs.
  • Free Shipping Structure Design: Conduct rigorous cost-benefit analyses to design and refine free shipping thresholds and structures, balancing customer conversion rates with healthy contribution margins.
  • Core Metrics & Data Collaboration: Partner closely with the Data Science and Engineering teams to define core supply chain metrics, ensuring data integrity and building automated dashboards for real-time strategic monitoring.
  • Network Optimization: Evaluate and recommend changes to the logistics network layout (e.g., hub-and-spoke vs. point-to-point) based on shifting consumer density and operational constraints.
  • Strategic Growth Support: Support regional leadership with data-backed business cases for new market entries, product category expansions, and infrastructure investments.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Performance will be measured against strategic and analytical outcomes, including:

  • Network Performance: 1P Network Lead Time and Average Distance to Consumer.
  • Operational Readiness: Successful rollout and adoption of new shipping structures and network nodes.

Cost Efficiency: Logistics Cost per Order (CPO) and Shipping Subsidy ROI.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in supply chain strategy, management consulting, or business analytics, preferably within the e-commerce or logistics sectors.
  • Strong proficiency in data manipulation and visualization tools, including SQL, Python/R, and Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data sets into actionable strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in network modeling, financial modeling, or incentive structure design.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a "first-principles" approach to tackling ambiguous operational challenges.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
