Job description
The Print Production Manager is responsible for liaising with the clients and printers, providing internal instruction to modify artwork so that the final print will meet (as close as possible) the original design intent, across multiple packaging types and print processes.
What you’ll be doing:
- Follow all Standard Working Practices (SWP)
- Assess new designs, liaising with the client, printer and tooling supplier to agree artwork changes/separation approach, based on the chosen print process.
- Provide Artworkers with technical instructions on artwork separation
- Support and develop Artworkers to apply reprographics/colour separation with minimum PPM input
- Train and support new and junior members of the PPM team
- Specify tooling requirements (where required)
- Maintain client brand targets and colour standards
- Maintain printer specification records and printer qualification in Trident's in house system
- Maintain PPM technical records
- Provide post-print analysis (both measured and visual)
- Work in conjunction with all other areas of the business to ensure that artwork is generated in the most effective and timely manner possible
This position is located in Shanghai, China
We’d love to hear from you if:
- 5 years of relevant Print Production experience in the creative or print industry
- Printing Systems knowledge across a broad range of package types
- Print and Repro knowledge with an in-depth knowledge of one or more process
- Understanding of colour management / proofing systems
- Understanding of what is important to the client in the area of quality assurance
- Effective Communication in written and spoken English
- Due to geographical requirements, Chinese language capability Is required in this role
- Hybrid work arrangement and work onsite at client's office in Shanghai
