Job description
Join us as a Working Student Data Engineer (all genders) in our Cloud & Platform Engineering team and help shape the future of autonomous mobility!
The Data Lake Platform team provides the secure and self-service foundation for all data at MOIA. We build and operate the central data infrastructure that enables teams to ingest, store, access, and manage data in a compliant and cost-efficient way. Our platform powers everything from product and operational metrics to large-scale unstructured data streams from autonomous driving systems.
By combining automation, governance, and scalable AWS technologies, we make sure MOIA’s data is always trusted, fresh, and privacy-compliant, empowering 25+ teams to build data-driven products with full ownership of their data lifecycle.
What you will do
- Develop data ingestion, transformation, and access layers using Apache Spark, Iceberg, and AWS services such as Lambda, and S3.
- Develop scalable workflow automation improving our CI/CD pipelines.
- Build and maintain infrastructure as code using AWS CDK and TypeScript.
- Support the management and maintenance of SageMaker Unified Studio.
- Work hands-on with the newest AI-Tools and enable others to use them even more productively.
What will help you to fulfill your role
- You are currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's or Master's program in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- To support your personal development and for you to take ownership of projects and processes, you should be enrolled for at least one year.
- Effective communication skills and interest in being part of a highly autonomous team.
- We want to act and grow as a team. Collaborating via pair programming, sharing knowledge, and communicating effectively should be something you value in your day-to-day work.
- Programming skills in Python. Knowledge of the Typescript ecosystem.
- The ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
- Professional-level English.
- Familiarity working with data or AWS Cloud is a plus.
We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds — even if you don’t meet every requirement. If you’re excited about the role and MOIA’s mission, we’d love to hear from you!
