Junior Accountant

Job Title: Junior Accountant.

Location: Stellenbosch.

Type: Permanent, office based, full time.

Salary offered: Between R20 000-R25 000 per month.

Job Summary: Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join their finance team. The successful candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial record-keeping, and assist in the preparation of financial reports. This role is well-suited to an individual looking to develop their career in accounting within a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
• Record daily financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and receipts
• Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts on a regular basis
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and schedules
• Maintain proper documentation and well-organized financial records
• Provide administrative and operational support to the Financial Manager

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous internship or entry-level experience in an accounting role
• Exposure to financial reporting processes
