OVERVIEW

At Alera Group, our Property & Casualty team helps businesses protect their assets, manage risk, and plan confidently for the future. We are seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to support our growing regional Commercial Lines team.

This is a flexible, growth-oriented opportunity designed for a strong Commercial Lines professional who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. Depending on experience and long-term performance, this role offers a path toward Account Executive responsibilities over time. This individual will partner closely with producers, clients, carriers, and internal service teams to support onboarding, retention, and ongoing client management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Service & Account Management

  • Support a growing book of Commercial Lines business alongside regional producers
  • Deliver exceptional client service while helping maintain strong client retention
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for client service needs, renewals, policy questions, and account management support
  • Build strong relationships with clients, carrier partners, and internal teams

Operational Excellence

  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced Commercial Lines environment
  • Support onboarding of new business and ensure smooth account transitions
  • Partner with internal service teams to maintain operational accuracy and service consistency
  • Proactively identify service gaps and recommend solutions

Growth & Development

  • Gain exposure to broader client strategy and Account Executive-level responsibilities over time
  • Participate in client-facing meetings and relationship development as experience grows
  • Support regional growth initiatives in partnership with producers and leadership

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Minimum 2+ years of Commercial Lines insurance experience
  • Commercial Lines Account Management or strong client service experience
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • Interest in long-term growth within Commercial Lines

Preferred

  • Experience supporting Commercial Lines producers
  • Exposure to renewals, onboarding, retention, and client-facing account management
  • Property & Casualty license (or ability to obtain if needed)
  • Interest in growing toward an Account Executive path

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Compensation: Salary range: $80,000 – $90,000 per year, based on experience. Eligible for performance-based bonus: Yes

Work Model: This role is Hybrid ( Preferred office reporting locations: Norwell, MA or New Bedford, MA ) Candidates must be able to work in a hybrid capacity aligned with an Alera Group office in the Eastern region.
