About the Role

As an Analyst – Cost & Budgeting (Retail Liabilities) , you will be responsible for leading business planning, budgeting, and financial performance monitoring for the Retail Liabilities function. This role involves close collaboration with business and finance teams to ensure accurate revenue realization, cost management, and identification of financial optimization opportunities. You will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making through financial insights and performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

Business Planning & Budgeting

  • Lead overall business planning and monitoring for Retail Liabilities, including budgeting, revenue realization, and cost management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define financial targets, revenue projections, and cost strategies.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against budgeted targets and forecasts, identifying discrepancies and variances.

Performance Analysis & Optimization

  • Conduct regular financial reviews and performance analysis to highlight areas of concern.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies to optimize financial performance.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the business finance team and other stakeholders for informed decision-making.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Support root cause analysis and resolution of production application issues related to financial data.
  • Provide updates and ensure smooth functioning of financial reporting systems.

What We Are Looking For

Education

  • Graduate in any discipline (Full time)
  • A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous.

Experience

  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in financial planning, budgeting, and performance analysis.

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify trends and variances.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting tools and data analysis platforms.
  • Fluent in English with strong business communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and drive financial discipline.
