Profile Summary
The Enrollment Specialist plays a key role in member engagement by conducting outbound outreach, following up on referrals, and supporting overall engagement efforts. The role also provides after-hours hospital intake support as needed. As a communication-heavy and relationship-driven position, it requires strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to build rapport with members while ensuring a smooth and positive enrollment experience.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM
Holidays to follow: US Holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Process member enrollments, updates, and eligibility checks across insurance and healthcare systems.
- Conduct outbound and inbound member outreach to clarify enrollment information or address missing requirements.
- Review and verify member documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Update internal systems with enrollment decisions, status updates, and follow-up notes.
- Support referral and care coordination teams by providing accurate member data.
- Communicate professionally with members to ensure a clear understanding of enrollment steps, benefits, and next actions.
- Maintain high documentation quality, ensuring all interactions and records are detailed and accurate.
- Uphold workflow consistency by adhering to established operating procedures.
- Assist with after-hours or overflow operational continuity when needed.
Qualifications
- Preferred experience in healthcare call centers, member services, patient scheduling, or enrollment support roles.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to sound professional, clear, and confident during member interactions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a natural sense of empathy, patience, and warmth when engaging with members.
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to adjust tone and approach based on conversation flow and member needs.
- Strong active listening skills, with the ability to understand concerns and respond appropriately and effectively.
- Ability to build trust and rapport quickly in a communication-heavy, relationship-driven environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy when working with member information and eligibility documents.
- Proficiency with enrollment platforms, insurance portals, or medical information systems is beneficial.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and follow structured workflows efficiently.
- Professional, organized, and comfortable working in a service-oriented environment.
