About the Role:

Being part of Automotive Engineering Services as a DSP Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, porting, and optimization of DSP software using advanced audio algorithms across multiple amplifier hardware platforms and operating systems.
Your work will directly impact amplifier applications within the automotive audio ecosystem.

What You Will Do:

  • Work for internal customer as part of Automotive Engineering Services
  • Be part of an Agile Scrum software development team focused on Platform DSP Amplifier
  • Contribute to sprint planning and backlog development aligned with the amplifier product roadmap
  • Perform day-to-day activities including:
    • Development of DSP infrastructure components:
      • Requirements analysis and definition
      • Low-level design preparation
      • Embedded software development
      • Unit and integration testing
    • Data analysis and code optimization
    • Supporting release plans for amplifier development programs
  • Integrate DSP code into larger software systems, collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Actively participate in technical discussions, evaluating and debating alternative solutions
  • Apply critical thinking to assess risks and make timely, sound technical decisions
  • Take ownership and initiative to deliver high-quality results aligned with amplifier development roadmaps
  • Collaborate with cross-location software and hardware teams across India, Poland, Germany, China, and the US to ensure successful implementation

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Electronic Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience programming in C and C++
  • Strong understanding of Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
  • Ability to translate block‑based audio processing designs into well‑tuned audio signal flows using frameworks such as AWX or AWE
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to audio distortion and signal integrity
  • Strong understanding of RTOS concepts
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to distributed teams and stakeholders
  • Experience working in an Agile–Scrum environment
  • Understanding of V-model–based project lifecycle
  • Proven experience with the Google Test framework
  • Ability to read and understand hardware schematics and effectively collaborate with hardware teams

Bonus Points if You Have:

  • Experience with development tools such as:
    • CrossCore Embedded Studio
    • Code Composer Studio
    • CodeSonar, Coverity
    • Git, GitHub
    • DevOps tools for CI/CD pipelines
  • Working knowledge of Python for scripting, automation, or test development
  • Experience with CMake build systems
  • Knowledge of Analog Devices DSP SoCs (Griffin family)
  • Knowledge of Texas Instruments DSP SoCs
  • Knowledge of Harman AudioworX framework.
  • Knowledge of DSP Concepts audio framework.
  • Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools:
    • Jira, ALM, Confluence
  • Strong team player mindset and a “go-to” person within the team

What Makes You Eligible:

  • Be willing to travel up to 2%, domestic or international.
  • Be willing to work in an office. However, this role is eligible for HARMAN remote-flex mode with occasional trips into the office location required (this could be on 24-hour notice)
