Job Description:
This job is responsible for planning and coordinating the execution of large program deliverables which requires engagement across multiple organizations. Key responsibilities include communicating target outcomes, coordinating delivery, resource planning, providing visibility of program health, and managing program risks, compliance and financials. Job expectations include ensuring delivery meets the client’s expectations in terms of the target outcomes, timeline, and cost and facilitating sync points between business and technology leaders and Risk and Compliance partners.

LOB Position Summary:

  • We are seeking a Technology Lead to drive delivery, stability, and strategic evolution of a mission-critical Global Rates platform. The role is responsible for leading Straight-Through Processing (STP) and affirmation initiatives across the full trade lifecycle, including trade capture, affirmation, and post-trade processing. The candidate should  be a hands-on technologist with deep domain expertise in STP trade lifecycle software development and ability to operate in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment with a ownership mindset with focus on delivery, stability and outcomes.  Ability to lead and collaborate with various stake holders in technology and business including senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads and coordinates routines to support delivery of large programs, such as kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates
  • Broadens relationships with business and technology leaders across multiple organizations, as well as Compliance and Risk
  • Establishes target outcomes in partnership with stakeholders and leaders
  • Tracks success metrics and provides status updates to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to the target outcomes, delivery, performance, risks, issues, and schedule
  • Collaborates with sponsors and stakeholders to ensure that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements
  • Manages program financials and supports resource planning
  • Ensures adherence with Enterprise Change Management standards
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of STP and affirmation initiatives across trade lifecycle workflows.
  • Drive improvements of STP rates workflows, simplification & consolidating workflows, reducing manual intervention, trade breaks, and operational risk.
  • Act as primary technology contact for stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Ensure platform stability, resilience, and production support readiness.
  • Provide technical leadership on architecture, design, and development standards.
  • Manage delivery across Agile/PI frameworks, ensuring timelines, quality, and scope adherence.
  • Coordinate across business, operations, and global technology teams.
  • Own risk identification, dependency management, and issue resolution.
  • Define and execute platform modernization and automation roadmap.
  • Excellent communication skills (technical and business).
  • High ownership, accountability, and execution focus.
  • Ability to drive outcomes in high-pressure, mission-critical environments.
  • Developing roadmaps for continuous platform improvements and modernization of the platform.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7–10+ years of applicable experience
  • Strong experience in STP trade processing and affirmation platforms internal and external
  • Deep understanding of rates trade lifecycle: Trade capture, affirmation, lifecycle events.
  • Hands-on experience with MarkitWire, Bloomberg/Tradeweb, Stellar, and internal trade systems.
  • Strong development experience in: C++, Java, Python, Sybase / SQL, MQ / messaging systems, Motif-based applications.
  • Solid knowledge of interest rate derivatives and processing workflows.
  • Good understanding of ISDA and FpML standards.
  • Experience in Agile and PI delivery models.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture and distributed systems design.
  • React and Oracle/ SQL Server DB experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrate deep ownership of the business domain and trade processing workflows.

Desired Qualifications:

  • PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or SAFe
  • Experience working in regulated environments (banking, capital markets, risk, compliance)
  • Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise release frameworks
  • Recent Global Technology experience

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$115,000.00 - $190,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
