Job Description:

Job Summary

The I-CAR Training Coordinator provides administrative support including, but not limited to, scheduling, enrollment, and tracking of I-CAR training courses completed on-line and in-person. This includes partnering with employees and their managers to ensure training completion in order to meet the Gold Class requirements.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze various I-CAR training reports and related data in order to determine courses individuals need to complete to maintain or obtain Gold Class status
  • Review and analyze vehicle manufacturer program information to determine courses required to maintain program compliance
  • Review and analyze company apprentice program information to determine courses required for program participants
  • Enroll, schedule and confirm I-CAR online or in-person training as required
  • Track, report and communicate Gold Class and other applicable program training compliance data in order to ensure timely completion and accurate record-keeping
  • Collaborate with shop management and operations leadership to facilitate program compliance
  • Assist field training personnel and operations management with I-CAR and related training questions and concerns
  • Maintain accurate I-CAR information in personnel records within Workday management system
  • Review assigned shops for potential concerns that may lead to I-CAR Gold Class or other program non-compliance and take directed action to prevent loss of accreditation
  • Collaborate with field training staff to ensure any in-person training required is completed in a timely fashion
  • Hold shop personnel accountable to complete training necessary for maintaining old Class status and other program compliance as needed

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Ability to manage and handle multiple tasks and complex issues
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, especially as it pertains to deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction while also understanding when to seek assistance or escalate concerns
  • Professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with employees across the organization in various positions.

Preferred Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s degree or some college preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of general work experience required
  • 2 years of I-CAR Gold Class maintenance experience strongly preferred
  • Office suite (word processing and spreadsheets), email and video conferencing platform proficiency strongly preferred
  • Workday user experience preferred
  • 2 years experience in an administrative, clerical or event coordination position required

Other Requirements Travel, physical requirements, etc.

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for an extended period of time
  • Space to work during the day without distractions
  • Very occasional travel may be required
