Job Summary:

Responsible for supporting day-to-day Human Resources generalist activities for an assigned customer group, including stay interviews, employee inquiries, benefits, payroll, and compliance with organizational policies and legal regulations. Serves as the first point of contact for general HR inquiries, escalating complex or specialized issues to HR Leadership and Centers of Excellence (CoEs) as appropriate. Additionally, coordinates and implements system-wide HR initiatives as directed by HR leadership.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions

Primary HR Support & Escalation (20%)

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for general HR questions and guidance. Direct employees to the appropriate Centers of Excellence (CoEs) for specialized support. Escalate complex or sensitive matters to HR leadership to ensure timely and effective resolution.

Workforce Analytics & Strategic Support (20%)

  • Collaborate with department and people leaders to identify workforce challenges and recommend HR solutions. Leverage HR metrics such as turnover, engagement, and absenteeism to identify trends and support data-driven decision-making.

HR Process Administration (20%)

  • Facilitate the administration and coordination of key HR systems and processes, including onboarding, new hire orientation, employee surveys, stay/exit interviews, recognition programs, and engagement initiatives.

Strategic Workforce Implementation (20%)

  • Support the implementation of strategic workforce initiatives, including talent retention efforts, succession planning, change management, and workforce/staffing optimization activities.

HR Program Delivery & Collaboration (15%)

  • Lead or assist in delivering HR programs and initiatives. Partner with HR leadership and cross-functional departments to implement and communicate system-wide initiatives such as performance management, employee engagement, wellness, and professional development programs.

Community Engagement & Employer Branding (5%)

  • Support community outreach and engagement efforts to promote NMHS as an employer of choice. Assist with HR-related initiatives that enhance the organization’s visibility and attract a diverse, skilled workforce.

M-F, 730am-4pm, based on needs of business

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2-4 years Human Resource experience preferably with broad exposure for a variety of Human Resource Advisor activities and working with management.

License/Certification:

  • N/A

  • Working knowledge of multiple Human Resources disciplines.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
