Ophthalmic Diagnostic Technician

Ironclad & Co. is seeking dedicated Ophthalmic Diagnostic Technicians to support our eye care professionals by performing a variety of diagnostic tests and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and provide compassionate patient care while ensuring accurate and timely diagnostic results.

Responsibilities

• Perform ophthalmic diagnostic tests including visual field testing, optical coherence tomography (OCT), tonometry, pachymetry, and retinal imaging
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and explain tests clearly
• Maintain and calibrate diagnostic equipment to ensure accuracy
• Document and report test results to ophthalmologists for diagnosis and treatment planning
• Maintain patient records and comply with healthcare privacy standards

Requirements

• Previous experience as an ophthalmic or ophthalmology technician
• Knowledge of ophthalmic diagnostic equipment and techniques
• Strong attention to detail and ability to obtain accurate results
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic health record (EHR) systems
