Job description
As Manager Cargo Revenue, you’ll own cargo revenue for your area—leading Revenue Analysts to optimize the portfolio and maximize freighter, belly, and RFS utilization. You’ll partner with Network Planning, Commercial, Operations, and Pricing to align actions with strategy. You’ll also drive the new RM system rollout and refine RM frameworks (e.g., SCB and Entry Conditions).
Accountabilities
- Lead and develop a team of Revenue Analysts managing a regional portfolio of routes.
- Monitor portfolio KPIs (LF, SCB) and drive continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular 1:1s and team reviews to challenge assumptions, validate RM strategies, and reinforce contribution-based steering.
- Serve as first escalation point for performance issues and capacity conflicts.
- Oversee capacity utilization and overall contribution across the assigned area, including allocation strategy, demand steering, and disruption recovery.
- Review and validate Entry Conditions with analysts before flight openings and monitor booking trends post-launch to ensure alignment with demand.
- Collaborate with Pricing to ensure Entry Conditions reflect current market dynamics.
- Align with Network Planning on capacity changes and business cases; provide RM recommendations from demand/contribution forecasts.
- Coordinate with Operations to align FBLs to constraints, minimizing offloads and supporting FAP performance.
- Partner with Commercial to spot revenue opportunities and address key customer needs.
- Lead RM system rollout (training/adoption) and feed improvements to optimize UX and workflow integration.
- Support and/or lead strategic initiatives within the RM department, including seasonal planning, process improvements, and coordination with the Analytics team on dashboard enhancements or new reporting needs.
- Support the Manager in charge of the department by contributing to weekly performance highlights, preparing input for monthly business reviews, and assisting with ongoing steering and reporting requirements.
- University degree in Economics, Business, Statistics, or another numerate discipline, or equivalent professional experience in Inventory or Revenue Management.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the airline industry, with at least 3 years ideally in Cargo Revenue Management.
