Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tooling Controller to join our Field Service Tooling Team based at our Leeds Service Centre on a 12 month fixed term contract. This warehouse-based role is essential in ensuring tooling and equipment are prepared, controlled, maintained and ready to support critical outage activities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency by carrying out equipment inspections, preparing tooling for deployment, supporting inventory operations and ensuring all equipment meets the required standards before use.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop a thorough understanding of tooling management and outage support. Following an initial 12-month period based within the warehouse, there may be opportunities to support field outage activities, providing additional development and exposure to site operations.

Key Responsibilities

Tooling Preparation & Control

  • Prepare tooling and equipment for outage activities.
  • Carry out pre-outage inspections and checks to ensure equipment is fit for purpose.
  • Replenish, maintain and coordinate servicing of tools in a timely manner.
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections on tooling and equipment.
  • Ensure all tooling is controlled, tracked, and maintained in accordance with company procedures and standards.

Warehouse & Inventory Support

  • Support Goods In and Goods Out operations.
  • Pick, pack and prepare equipment for dispatch to outage locations.
  • Assist the Inventory Team during peak periods with warehouse and logistics activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and support stock control processes.

Compliance & Teamwork

  • Execute all duties in accordance with company procedures, standards, and policies.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
  • Always demonstrate the highest levels of honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Contribute positively to the team environment and support collaborative working practices.
  • Comply with all health and safety requirements, reporting any unsafe conditions or activities.
  • Protect confidential information and ensure it is not disclosed to unauthorised parties.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Previous experience in tooling, warehouse, inventory, logistics or engineering support environments.
