Hospitality FacilitatorJob Description:
The role is responsible for planning, coordinating, facilitating, and evaluating hospitality training programmes for waiters, baristas, bartenders, kitchen staff, and banqueting teams. The role ensures the delivery of high-quality, industry-aligned training that promotes service excellence, operational efficiency, workplace readiness, and compliance with hospitality standards, enabling learners to perform effectively in professional hospitality environments.Location:

PermanentMinimum Requirements:
Experience:
- Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience within the hospitality industry
- Previous experience in hospitality training and staff development advantageous
- Strong operational knowledge of banqueting and conferencing environments
- Experience working with waiters, baristas, bartenders, kitchen staff, and front-of-house teams
- Knowledge of food service standards, customer service, hygiene, and hospitality operations
Education:
- A relevant Hospitality or Training qualification (NQF 5 or equivalent)
- Assessor/Facilitator qualification advantageous
- Food Safety and Hygiene certification advantageous
- Own vehicle and a valid driver’s license advantageous

Roles and Responsibilities:
Hospitality Training & Development:
- Facilitate hospitality training sessions for waiters, baristas, bartenders, kitchen staff, and banqueting teams
- Conduct induction and onboarding training for all hospitality staff
- Provide practical workplace readiness training aligned to hospitality standards
- Train staff on customer service excellence and guest engagement
- Conduct practical demonstrations and service simulations
- Develop and maintain hospitality training material and SOPs
Operational & Banqueting Support:
- Train staff on banquet setup, table service, buffet service, and conferencing standards
- Ensure staff understand operational flow during functions and events
- Support teams during live events and banqueting operations where required
- Train staff on beverage preparation standards, including coffee, cocktails, and bar service
- Ensure kitchen and service teams maintain hygiene and food safety standards
- Monitor service quality and identify areas for improvement.
Staff Coaching & Performance Management:
- Conduct ongoing coaching and mentoring sessions with hospitality staff
- Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback
- Identify skills gaps and implement corrective training plans
- Assist supervisors and managers with staff development initiatives
- Support disciplinary processes relating to service delivery and workplace conduct where necessary
- Promote professionalism, teamwork, and workplace discipline
Compliance & Administration:
- Maintain training attendance registers and training records
- Prepare training reports and staff progress feedback
- Ensure all training documentation complies with company standards
- Assist with staff scheduling for training interventions where required
- Conduct regular site visits and service observations
- Support audits relating to hospitality operations and training compliance
