Job description
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Investment Analyst to support the day-to-day investment activities of a small, professionally managed family office. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong foundation in finance or accounting who is passionate about investments and enjoys conducting in-depth research and analysis. You will play a key role in supporting investment decisions, monitoring portfolio performance, and ensuring accurate reporting across asset classes.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis on investment opportunities across asset classes including equities, fixed income, funds, and alternative investments.
- Assist in monitoring and tracking portfolio performance, including returns, risk metrics, and market developments.
- Prepare periodic investment reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) summarizing portfolio performance, market insights, and key updates.
- Support due diligence processes on new investment opportunities, including reviewing financial statements, market trends, and manager performance.
- Maintain up-to-date records of investments, transactions, valuations, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with external asset managers, banks, brokers, and advisors to obtain reports and relevant investment information.
- Assist in preparing investment memos, presentations, and summaries for internal decision-making.
- Monitor global and regional financial markets, economic trends, and relevant news impacting the portfolio.
- Support reconciliation of investment records with bank and broker statements where required.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and research support to senior management on strategic investment decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of experience in investments, asset management, corporate finance, audit, or a related field.
- Strong interest in financial markets and investment analysis, with the ability to conduct structured research.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including financial analysis and data organization.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts such as valuation, financial statements, and portfolio performance metrics.
- Strong analytical thinking with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
- Arabic speaker is required.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and professionalism.
- Based in Bahrain.
