Job description
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Group FP&A Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join a collaborative finance team and play a key role in delivering high-quality financial insight to the business.
You’ll work closely with operational teams, contributing to decision-making through meaningful analysis, while gaining exposure across both FP&A and core financial processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Principle Responsibilities:
Partner with the FP&A team and wider business to deliver clear, insightful financial analysis.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and the annual operating plan.
Assist in evaluating new product initiatives through investment appraisal and business case analysis.
Develop and enhance sales and margin reporting, including supporting BI system implementation.
Provide insight to support inventory management, including excess and obsolete stock analysis.
Contribute to monthly performance reporting, helping explain key drivers and variances.
Support month-end close activities, including journals and balance sheet reviews.
Collaborate across the FP&A function to drive continuous improvement and best practice.
Participate in process improvement initiatives (e.g. Kaizen) to enhance efficiency and insight.
Support audit requirements and standard costing processes.
Qualifications/Experience/Training:
Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent).
Strong Excel skills with a keen interest in data.
Strong analytical skills.
Some exposure to a manufacturing environment is ideal although not essential.
