Job description
What You’ll Do as a Floor Equipment Standards Design Manager :
CFE standards & Guru content
- Support the creation and maintenance of Centre Floor Equipment standards and content within Guru, including retail concepts, F&F layouts, planning guidelines, internal signage, 3D models and production drawings.
- Help ensure information is current, well‑structured and aligned to agreed standards.
Design support & equipment development
- Assist with the development of new retail equipment concepts aligned to Primark’s retail DNA and sustainability principles.
- Produce 2D and 3D visuals, SketchUp models and supporting CAD outputs for design reviews and prototyping activity.
CAD, Guru & Store space support
- Create and test CAD smart blocks, AutoCAD libraries, equipment profiles and supporting metadata.
- Support the linking of PK codes and profiles within Guru and Store space to enable accurate space planning and Bill of Quantities generation.
Documentation & content management
- Format, upload and maintain technical and production drawings, drawing registers and supporting documentation.
- Support regular updates to planning guidelines and the Blue Book, including version control and archiving of superseded content.
Collaboration & learning
- Work closely with Design, Fixture Development, VM, Brand and Systems teams to gather briefs, feedback and requirements.
- Participate in user testing, feedback sessions and forums to support ongoing improvements to Guru.
- Help support training and guidance materials for internal and external users as required.

Qualifications & technical skills
- Degree in 3D Design or a related discipline, or relevant experience within retail, interior or technical design.
- Working knowledge of SketchUp and AutoCAD, with confidence producing accurate 2D and 3D outputs.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and other 3D modelling tools is an advantage.
Design & technical understanding
- Interest or experience in retail environments, spatial planning or fixtures and fittings.
- Understanding of materials, basic manufacturing methods and technical drawings; ability to sketch ideas is a plus.
Organisation & delivery
- Well organised with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines with guidance and support from the wider team.
Collaboration & communication
- A team‑focused mindset with good communication skills and a willingness to learn from others.
- Able to work cross‑functionally and build positive working relationships.
Personal attributes
- Curious, proactive and keen to develop technical and design capability.
- Professional, discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential business information.
