Educates patients and families about procedures and care. Maintains communication with patients and families. Performs daily rounds for hospitalized patients. Interprets lab and radiology tests. Follows up with patients post-procedure. Screens all valve patients referred to the center to triage them to appropriate therapeutic pathways. Schedules and coordinates screening tests with the appropriate Team. Completes patient assessments and reviews medications. Manages the patient experience from referral to procedure. Manages incoming referrals and performs initial evaluations. Compiles screening portfolios for physician review. Initiates consultations and referrals. Obtains and loads images into appropriate software. Collaborates with vendors to ensure compliance with appropriate program requirements. Implements Heart Valve Program processes to ensure smooth operations and patient flow. Schedules procedures and ensures follow-up care with referring or primary care physicians. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Good computer skills [Required]
• Knowledge of adult leaning principles required [Required]
• Demonstrated skill in the use of written and oral communication [Required]
• Good computer skills [Required]
• Ability to write objectives, content outlines, and bibliographies [Preferred]
Education:
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Required]
Field of Study:
• in Nursing
Work Experience:
• 1+ years critical care nursing experience in cardiovascular services. [Required]
• Past Structural Heart experience [Preferred]
• Past teaching experience in formal/informal settings [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:
• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Nursing Professional Development - Board Certified (NPD-BC) [Preferred]
• Acute/Critical Care Nursing - Adult (CCNR) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
