Breadcrumb
Product Manager
Salary
Job description
Breadcrumb is a construction tool built for the people who actually build things. We replace paper-based processes with a digital tool that makes worksites safer, more connected and more compliant - in real time, in workers' hands.
From a 15-person start-up four years ago to a global team of 80+ with offices in Melbourne, London and San Francisco, we now serve over 1,000 construction companies and 1.5 million workers across ANZ, the UK, Ireland and North America. We're moving fast and we're looking for people who thrive in that environment.
The role
You'll own new product domains from the ground up defining the vision, standing up a squad, and delivering the data and integration capabilities that unlock the next phase of Breadcrumb's platform. This is a true 0→1 role: no inherited roadmap, no established playbook. Just a clear problem space, a talented engineering team, and real commercial stakes.
Sitting at the intersection of customer, business, and technology, you'll ensure our products are intuitive, scalable, and commercially impactful. You'll own everything from APIs and third-party integrations to reporting, analytics, and AI-powered insights.
What you'll be doing
- Define the vision, strategy, and success metrics for core products working closely with leadership to set direction
- Run structured discovery, customer interviews, problem mapping, prototype validation, and A/B tests to uncover insights, validate problem statements, and identify new opportunities
- Translate insights into clear requirements, hypotheses, and prioritised roadmaps that balance technical constraints, platform foundations, and customer-facing value
- Establish and lead a new product and engineering squad, shaping how the team works and delivers from day one
- Partner with Engineering to plan, scope, and ship scalable, API-driven solutions built for long-term growth
- Work alongside the Global Partnerships Manager to identify, prioritise, and deliver integrations with key construction platforms like Procore, Autodesk, Aconex, Workato, and Zapier
- Define and deliver data products including dashboards, analytics, and AI-powered insights that drive real customer and business value
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure go-to-market readiness for every launch
- Use data, analytics, customer feedback, and experimentation to guide decisions, measure outcomes, and continuously iterate
- Communicate trade-offs, progress, and product direction clearly to senior stakeholders and the wider business
- Stay across SaaS, construction tech, and product trends to keep Breadcrumb ahead of the curve
What you'll bring
Experience
- Ideally 3+ years in Product Management or a related field: BA, Product Owner, UX, or Engineering backgrounds welcome
- A track record of delivering features end-to-end in a SaaS environment
- Experience working in cross-functional, fast-paced product teams
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous problem spaces and bringing structure where it's needed
Skills & knowledge
- Strong product discovery, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent prioritisation across competing technical, commercial, and customer needs
- Clear, confident communication and able to influence and align both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Solid analytical capability with experience using data to drive decisions
- Skilled in agile planning, backlog management, and writing high-quality requirements
- Familiarity with API-driven architecture, integrations, and SaaS business models
- Comfort using AI tools like Claude or Cursor to accelerate research, prototyping, and delivery
You're someone who is
- Curious, empathetic, and genuinely focused on solving real problems for real people
- A collaborative problem-solver who loves working across teams
- Data-informed, commercially minded, and outcome-focused
- Passionate about building technology that makes a tangible difference
Why you'll love working with us
- ESOP + bonuses: Equity and cash bonuses tied to company performance
- Flexible working: Hybrid setup with autonomy to work where you work best, and come in when it counts
- Health & wellbeing: EAP, additional mental health leave and Minimum Viable Days
- Family-friendly: Comprehensive parental leave for all caregivers
- Impact at scale: Your work ships to over a million construction workers globally, helping them get home safe every day
- High growth environment: Real ownership, real impact, and room to shape not just the product but how a whole new domain is built
- Collaborative culture: Work alongside a talented, supportive team where ideas are valued and continuous learning is encouraged
Keen to build something that actually matters? We'd love to hear from you.
