Nursa
Territory Manager, Southern California
Salary
Job description
Nursa is a healthcare platform that directly addresses the severe staffing challenges confronting the U.S. healthcare system by connecting qualified registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and certified nursing assistants (CNAs) seeking flexible work with facilities in need of help. Founded in 2019, we are a growing venture backed startup whose mission is to put a nurse at the bedside of every patient in need. With your help, we will be able to enrich the lives of nurses and be a valued partner in delivering effective, compassionate patient care in every market we serve.
Role overview
This role is responsible for strategic account management and expanding opportunities with new business across Southern California. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, you will own the full sales motion—prospecting, building pipeline, and closing—while serving as the trusted, on-the-ground partner to the facilities already operating on the platform. Your work will directly shape Nursa's footprint in the region: re-engaging facilities, growing the relationships that drive consistent volume, and partnering cross-functionally to keep accounts healthy. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to build a territory from the front lines and see the impact of their work in both revenue and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle across the territory—prospecting, building pipeline, and closing new facility partnerships from first outreach to signed agreement.
- Lead reengagement campaigns highlighting the new features that support their ability to positively impact continuity of care.
- Maintain and strengthen Nursa's existing facility relationships, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring consistent, reliable engagement that keeps volume steady.
- Expand within established group relationships by introducing Nursa to sister facilities and additional locations under the same ownership.
- Partner with the Finance, Product, and Marketing teams to best support our current customers and others
Qualifications
- (Must have) Several years of full-cycle sales or account management experience, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- (Must have) Experience managing and growing existing client or partner relationships, ideally in a role that blended new business with account retention.
- (Must have) Ability to maintain a regular, in-person presence across California, including travel to facilities.
- (Must have) Clear communicator and relationship builder who can work cross-functionally—including with Finance, Product, and Marketing—to resolve issues and keep accounts healthy.
- (Nice to have) Background in healthcare, staffing, or marketplace/SaaS, or experience selling into skilled nursing, assisted living, or memory care facilities.
What you get in return
- Opportunity to revolutionize healthcare industry and build both relationships and teams that make a tangible impact
- We empower team members to act intelligently and be owners, believing that execution is everything, and have designed a learning-focused environment where you get ongoing support and regular feedback to help you grow
- An opportunity to join an international team with a work culture that is based on trust, flexibility, and curiosity
- Competitive salary and benefits
Closing
Nursa is an equal opportunity employer. We aim to build a workforce of individuals from different backgrounds, with different abilities, identities, and mindsets. Even if you do not meet all of the qualifications listed above, we encourage you to apply!
