Customer facing direct sales role responsible for winning business and managing key accounts. Has significant influence over commercial priorities with a level of autonomy within the role to enter into/execute Commercial arrangements. High levels of Commercial judgement are required to achieve outcomes required.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for sales of GE Vernova Grid Software solutions to power utilities in Japan and South Korea

  • Develop specialized knowledge of latest commercial developments in own area and communication skills to influence others.

  • Align the sales growth strategies with the broader APAC sales strategy in accordance with the directions set by the APAC Grid Automation & Software leadership.

  • Establish, cultivate and maintain customer relations at appropriate decision-maker levels.

  • Ability to develop and execute on growth and account plans while meeting short term business objectives.

  • Has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

  • Takes new perspective on existing solutions and uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.

  • Responsible for earning customer trust through solid execution – establish win/win partnerships and deepen relationships, to become the accounts' trusted advisor.

  • Uses multiple internal and external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience in the specific territories.

  • Implement the execution framework on identified opportunities, which includes the orders forecasting to deal closure.

  • Drive and adhere to Commercial processes and leverage tools for growth (SFDC, via the FUEL application).

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, science, engineering, technology or related discipline, and/or

  • 10+ years experience in sales, presales, management consulting, or strategic planning in software organizations

  • Experience in utility sector - electricity, gas, water or telecommunications.

  • Fluency in Japanese and English

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.

  • Must be willing to travel.

  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in major cities nominated.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence solution direction to both technical and non-technical audiences alike across all organizational levels

  • Proven track record of sales success and customer management.

  • Understand the various financial instruments used by customers to conduct business.

  • Strong negotiation and sales leadership skills.

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Prior experience selling contracts / products with technical content of substantial value
