Role Description As the Lead Software Engineer, you will be key in developing and maintaining technical solutions based on requirements. You will report status updates and support peers and juniors with application and functional issues. You will help build a complete understanding of applications and the domain they support. You will also ensure alignment with business goals, lead technical discussions with IT and business partners, and encourage ongoing improvement and quality. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain technical builds based on requirements Report status updates as required by the project Address queries and issues while offering application and functional assistance to peers and juniors Build a complete understanding of applications and the underlying domain being supported Demonstrate a good understanding of development frameworks and standard procedures followed within the organization Influence, direct, and monitor technical work effectively Ensure consistency with business strategies Effectively manage and collaborate with stakeholders across the specified line of responsibility. Drive technical discussions with IT and business collaborators Support decision-making processes and demonstrate effective business communication skills across multiple levels Challenge ideas, methods, guidelines, and procedures to promote discussion and innovative thinking Adhere to and ensure team adherence to standard processes and procedures Develop planning/organizational, problem-solving, analytical, time management, and decision-making skills Provide training to new team members and other teams on business processes and applications Provide permanent resolutions for repeating issues and build automation for repetitive tasks Be an expert/SME on applications/functionality to provide required support to business users Qualifications Must Have Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (any stream) Abilities Technical/Functional: Drupal theming and configuration Experience theming and supporting a content management system CI/CD tooling, such as GitHub Actions Cloud platforms, such as Pantheon and AWS Experience with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Knowledge of AI tools like GitHub Co-Pilot, Canvas AI, Drupal AI HTML, CSS, and front-end JavaScript experience Web components build/build systems Node Other: Strong technical skills, knowledge of SDLC, good proficiency, positive attitude, strong reasoning and communication skills. Must be a great teammate. Good analytical skills, research-focused approach, good time management skills, good learnability and quick grasping ability, stretch mentality, ability to train junior team members.
