What you'll do We are seeking a dedicated Incident Responder to join our Cyber Security Incident Response Team to investigate, analyze, and contain cyber threats. In this role, you will play a critical part in identifying and mitigating security incidents, collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure swift threat containment and recovery. You will leverage your technical expertise in log analysis, intrusion detection, and digital forensics to protect our environment while helping to refine established response procedures. This role requires a self-motivated professional capable of prioritizing tasks under time constraints, participating in on-call rotations outside of standard business hours, and maintaining detailed incident documentation. Responsibility Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, identify root causes, and recommend remediation efforts to prevent future occurrences Participate in proactive threat hunting utilizing various security tools and platforms to identify vulnerabilities, suspicious activity, and potential security gaps Analyze suspicious files and indicators of compromise (IoCs) to understand the scope of an incident and identify compromised systems or data Assist in the creation, maintenance, and optimization of incident response playbooks and procedures to address evolving threats Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Security Operations, Engineering, and Legal, during active security incidents to ensure effective containment and mitigation Utilize internal and external threat intelligence sources to proactively identify and mitigate emerging threats before they materialize Work hands-on with security tools (SIEM, EDR, SOAR, threat intelligence platforms) to investigate alerts, reduce false positives, and support the continuous improvement of detection capabilities Perform post-incident analysis and daily reporting, providing detailed documentation of lessons learned and suggesting areas for security posture improvement Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on Security Operations (SOC) and/or Incident Response Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, incident response lifecycles, and security best practices Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel) for alert analysis and log correlation Familiarity with EDR solutions and their role in incident investigation Strong familiarity with digital forensics principles and techniques and enterprise forensic solutions Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and data analysis Deep understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and cyber kill chain Preferred Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, GCIH, GCFA, or CEH Hands-on experience with SOAR platforms Exposure to cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently under pressure Knowledge of how to protect against AI threats and using it in day to day work Life at Docusign Working here Docusign is committed to building trust and making the world more agreeable for our employees, customers and the communities in which we live and work.
