Overview We are seeking a LATAM-trained, fully bilingual (English/Spanish) Counsel to support our global Corporate Governance and Sustainability function. This role will focus on subsidiary governance and ESG/sustainability reporting across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with Legal, Finance, Risk, and Sustainability teams. This is a hands-on role requiring strong legal judgment, project management skills, and the ability to manage global processes and regulatory requirements in a fast-evolving environment. How you'll make an impact Subsidiary Governance: Support the management and continuous improvement of the company’s global subsidiary governance framework, including governance processes, and documentation. Sustainability Reporting: Support global ESG and sustainability reporting efforts, including tracking regulatory requirements (e.g., emissions, workforce, pay transparency disclosures). Regulatory Tracker: Maintain and update a global sustainability regulatory tracker, including monitoring new regulations and supporting periodic updates and scoping exercises. Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with Legal, Finance, HR, Risk, and ESG teams to gather data and ensure timely and accurate reporting. Disclosure Controls: Identify and escalate gaps in disclosure controls and procedures that may impact reporting accuracy or completeness. External Coordination: Interface with external advisors (e.g., auditors, consultants) on governance and sustainability reporting matters. Documentation: Maintain clear, organized, and audit-ready documentation, templates, and trackers. About you Qualified lawyer. 4–7 years of experience in corporate law, corporate governance, compliance, or ESG/sustainability matters. Fully bilingual (English/Spanish) – strong written and verbal communication required. Experience supporting multinational organizations or cross-border operations. Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. High attention to detail and ability to work with complex datasets and trackers (Excel proficiency required). Preferred Qualifications Experience with corporate law, including corporate governance, legal entity management or corporate secretarial work. Exposure to ESG/sustainability reporting frameworks or regulatory compliance (e.g., GHG reporting, CSRD, or similar). Experience working with external advisors such as audit or consulting firms. Key Success Factors Ability to independently manage global coordination efforts and deadlines. Strong ownership of processes and proactive identification of gaps or risks. High-quality, audit-ready work product and documentation. Effective collaboration across international and cross-functional teams.
