VCA Madera Pet Hospital is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to complement our talented team in Corte Madera, California.
VCA Madera Pet Hospital is a 7 day-per-week, 10-doctor practice, with deep roots in its community. We believe our longevity and reputation come from the collaborative approach our DVMs take, allowing for growth and learning no matter how many years you’ve been in practice, and from our commitment to providing a positive experience for our clients and patients. We have a large staff, many of whom have worked at Madera for 10 years or more. They’ve worked hard to make Madera the practice it is and have become like family. Our Medical Director, Hospital Manager, Technician Supervisor, and Assistant Hospital Manager provide strong leadership, always keeping the focus on what’s best for the hospital and the team as a whole; you will feel supported by our skilled team.
The full time DVM we seek to hire will work a 4 day week, including one weekend day several times each month. Most always days off will include at least 2 consecutive days. We believe in work life balance, so you can still make family, and your well-being a priority. Our DVMs genuinely like each other.
The small community of Corte Madera is nestled between Mill Valley and San Rafael in Marin County, CA. The Golden Gate Bridge linking Marin County to San Francisco lies to the south, the Sonoma and Napa County vineyards are just to the northeast, with Lake Tahoe lying a little further north. Marin County is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, as the weather makes cycling, hiking, running, golf, and water sports (to name a few) enjoyable year round. It also offers many boutique shopping opportunities and two upscale shopping malls are a short distance from our hospital. If you’re a restaurant lover, Marin County is a gastronomical dream. It’s also a great place for dogs. There are many dog friendly parks, beaches, trails, and other off leash adventures.
