VCA Lewelling Animal Hospital is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our tenured DVM team in San Leandro, California.

VCA takes pride in expanding the growth and skill set of new veterinarians. We welcome newly graduated veterinarians (and current veterinary students) to apply to this position where they will receive individualized support with our 6-month mentorship program and a collaborative hospital team environment.

Our hospital includes 4 exam rooms, treatment area, surgery suite, in-house laboratory capabilities include Chemistries, and utilization of Antech laboratories for all other diagnostics. We also have an in house ultrasound and digital radiograph technology as well as the opportunity to send out all of our digital radiographs to a Board Certified Radiologist for an expert opinion. Additionally, we have Digital Dental radiographs standard with every dental procedure. We routinely have surgical monitoring and support that includes Midmark monitors including pulse ox and blood pressure monitoring. Lastly we also have Electronic Medical Records with computers in every exam room for efficiency of care, and a full pharmacy.

We are open 6 days/week, no on-call hours with scheduling that will include a regular 4 days/week with rotating Saturdays.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated veterinarian to continue practicing medicine while establishing the direction and medical quality of the hospital like a practice owner. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The annual salary range for this position is $64,480 - $180K. This position may also be eligible for other variable pay programs.
