Job description
What you'll do...
- Create a fun, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where guests come to unwind, connect and enjoy themselves.
- Prepare and serve everything from great coffees and soft drinks to classic cocktails and seasonal creations, always with consistency and attention to detail.
- Build genuine connections with our guests, making recommendations, sharing your knowledge and creating memorable experiences that keep them coming back.
- Know our drinks menu, products and systems inside out, and stay curious about new trends, ingredients and techniques.
- Ensure all drinks are prepared and served in line with our quality, presentation and service standards.
- Work closely with the wider Food & Beverage team to keep service running smoothly across the bar, lobby and wintergarden.
- Maintain a clean, organised and fully stocked bar area, ensuring everything is ready for a seamless service.
- Monitor stock levels and minimise waste.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, always looking for opportunities to turn a situation into a positive experience.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and team members.
- Be more than a Bartender – jump in where needed, support your teammates and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.
What we're looking for...
- Basic knowledge of wine, spirits and preferably beer.
- Previous bartending experience in a buzzy environment.
- A thirst for knowledge;- be it product, service, or everything in between.
- Fluent in English, good German knowledge, additional languages will be highly valuable.
- You are flexible to work on rotative shifts and on weekends.
- Passion for hospitality – you’re all about creating memorable experiences for others, be they guests or colleagues.
- A people person, you’re confident behind the bar.
- You’re looking for a place where you can be you; no clones in suits here.
- You’re not precious. We leave our egos at the door and help get stuff done.
- You’re up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once.
- If we got stuck in a lift together, we’d have a good time and share a few laughs.
- You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and has fun along the way.
What’s in it for you…
- A competitive package, plenty of opportunity for development and rewards for going the extra mile and living our values.
- 24 holidays (plus bank holidays) and extra time off to volunteer with one of our partner charities.
- The chance to challenge the norm and work in an environment that is both creative and rewarding.
- Great discounts across the entire Ennismore family (which you get to keep even if you decide to leave us!)
- Enjoy a free night at The Hoxton and a meal for two when you first start with us.
- Food on us during your shift – we support you finding a fueling lunch with Pluxee Benefits Card and food vouchers.
- Regular team get togethers, from our team drinks to our (pretty special!) bi-annual parties – we know how to have a good time!
- An annual diversity and inclusion calendar of events creating opportunities for you to learn, celebrate and make a positive impact.
- Get in touch with experts from OpenUp to balance work and life or any other mental-wellbeing related topic.
- Enjoy lots of Discounts through our Corporate Benefits Discount webpage.
- Learn and grow with our Ennismore Learning platform and its +6.000 training opportunities
- BVG Public Transportation Ticket on us!
