Information Security Analyst

We are looking for an Information Security Analyst to join our team in Cluj. You'll be the internal SOC voice for our Cluj team — someone who reviews escalations with a critical eye, makes independent calls on severity, and helps build a feedback loop that genuinely sharpens detection over time. Less about watching dashboards all day, more about developing the instinct for when something feels off.

Our MSSP manages the alert volume. Your job is to make sure they're doing it well — and to step in when they're not.

You'll work closely with security colleagues across Cluj, the UK, and Florida, so good written communication and solid async habits are just as important as your technical skills.

What you'll actually be doing

• Reviewing and validating MSSP escalations — not rubber-stamping them

• Investigating alerts end-to-end when something needs a closer look

• Tracking incidents through their full lifecycle and keeping records that make sense to someone picking it up 8 hours later in a different timezone

• Identifying false positive patterns and feeding them back to improve MSSP tuning

• Handling phishing triage and IOC enrichment using standard tooling

What we need from you

• 1–2 years in a SOC or similar environment — real alerts, not just lab exercises

• Comfortable working with a SIEM (Exabeam, Splunk, Sentinel — we care more about how you think than which tool you've used)

• A solid grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, and how to read a log

• Comfortable on Linux — a good chunk of our environment runs on it

• Clear, concise writing — incident documentation on a distributed team really is a team sport
