We are looking for a Research Fellow to develop microbial platforms for the sustainable recovery of metals from environmental sources. The role will focus on designing and constructing abiotic–biotic hybrid systems for sustainability applications, including environmental biosensing and green energy generation.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate the responses of model microbial platforms to different metal species.
Design and construct abiotic–biotic hybrid systems and study the interactions between nanoparticles and microorganisms.
Perform materials and microbial characterization.
Conduct experiments to evaluate the performance and functionality of the hybrid systems.
Prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and intellectual property (IP) disclosures.
Maintain high standards of laboratory safety, documentation, and quality control.
Job Requirements:
PhD in environmental science and engineering, bioengineering, chemical engineering or a related field
Familiarity with environmental biotechnology andabiotic–biotic hybrid systems.
Hands-on laboratory experience in relevant experimental research.
A record of publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals in environmental engineering or related fields.
Good written and oral communication skills
