Technical Writer/technical Documentation Engineer
Position summary:
We are looking for passionate Technical Writer responsible for contributing towards writing, editing technical documentation for the products. The engineer should self-driven and must be able to organize his/her ideas, tasks and articulate the content in the reader understandable form.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Document technically accurate content for AppviewX products
- Research and determine the technical documentation needs for the features
- Estimate efforts and deliver content on time
- Ensure quality of the documentation
- Troubleshoot Git conflicts, understand architecture, manage the CMS (Content Management System)
- Execute day-to-day information engineering activities
- Create in-depth user guides, FAQs, technical overviews, and in-product help documentation.
- Identify problem areas or structural deficiencies and proactively contribute to their improvement.
- Experience creating infographics to more clearly communicate workflow processes and abstract topics.
- Build and maintain client aids that go beyond traditional documentation, such as online video, demos, guided tours, and other educational techniques.
- Maintain a library of application documentation, cataloging it for internal and/or external use.
- Publish and maintain templates for written documentation produced by others (technical specifications, RFP responses, etc.), ensuring a consistent "look and feel."
- Proven experience producing technical content for public consumption.
Required Skillset
- Experience with authoring and publishing high-quality content in XML
- Experience working with the tools preferred: Confluence/JIRA, Git/Github/Gitlab, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Hands-On experience with Oxygen XML Authoring tool
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Strong written communication, editing, and information architecture skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and deliver under tight timelines.
- AI tools for writing, content generation, and documentation automation
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering/core sciences, or Masters in English Language/Technical Communication
- 3-6 years of experience in technical writing, with at least 1-2 years of experience in XML-based structured authoring and Git Integrations
