About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Strategy & Planning Manager to partner closely with the Head of Picnic in driving business performance and strategic execution. This role will be responsible for budgeting, goal setting, performance tracking, and cross-functional planning to ensure teams are aligned and making data-driven decisions.
The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with structured problem-solving skills and enjoys working across teams to translate strategy into measurable outcomes.
What you’ll do
Strategic Planning & Performance Management
- Partner with the Head of Picnic to define company, team, and functional goals aligned with business priorities.
- Develop performance frameworks and KPIs based on historical trends, business objectives, and operational insights.
- Monitor progress against goals and provide regular reporting on performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Facilitate quarterly and annual planning processes across the organization.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead budgeting and forecasting activities in partnership with functional leaders.
- Analyze historical financial and operational data to support resource allocation and planning decisions.
- Track budget performance and identify areas for optimization and efficiency.
Cross-Functional Business Support
- Work closely with all teams to establish clear metrics, monitor achievements, and ensure accountability toward goals.
- Support teams in interpreting performance data and making informed, data-driven decisions.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.
Business Analysis & Insights
- Translate business challenges into actionable analyses and recommendations.
- Leverage data and insights provided by the Data team to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring intervention.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, dashboards, and business reviews for leadership discussions.
Special Projects
- Lead and support high-priority strategic initiatives and special projects on behalf of the Head of Picnic.
- Conduct market, operational, and financial analyses to support decision-making and business growth opportunities.
- Drive project execution and ensure timely delivery of key outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
- Great communication skills.
- Data Analytics.
- Project management experience preferred.
- SQL & Python are a big plus.

What Else You Need To Know
This role is based in our Los Angeles office location. As a company driven by innovation and continuous change, close collaboration is essential. We’re constantly reimagining our industry, creating new products, and refining our processes, and we do our best work together. That’s why all of our office-based teams work onsite, five days a week.
The base salary range for this role is $130,000 to $153,000 per year.
Actual compensation will be determined on an individual basis and may vary depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package. You may also be eligible for equity awards and an annual performance-based bonus.
