Job description
Kelso Building Services is hiring a results-driven outside sales professional with HVAC experience to grow our commercial service and project business. This role is best suited for someone who thrives in prospecting-heavy environments and can confidently sell technical solutions to facility and operations leaders.
This is a field-based, hunter role—success comes from proactive outreach, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to close.
What You’ll Do
- Prospect and win new business through cold calling, in-person visits, referrals, and networking
- Conduct on-site assessments and recommend HVAC service and system solutions
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline with consistent follow-up
- Develop and present professional proposals, bids, and contracts
- Partner with operations and estimating teams to ensure accurate scope and execution
- Maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat business and referrals
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of HVAC or mechanical sales experience (required)
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and services
- Proven track record of prospecting and closing new business
- Comfortable with cold outreach and face-to-face selling
- Skilled in consultative selling, negotiation, and objection handling
- Experience using a CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
