Job description

Join a Unique International Academic Community

Located in the heart of London, University of Notre Dame England (UNDE) provides a dynamic international academic environment that brings together students, faculty, and scholars from around the world. We are seeking an IT Solutions Specialist who thrives on building relationships, solving technical challenges, and delivering exceptional technology experiences.

As the primary on-site technology partner for the UNDE community, you will play a critical role in supporting teaching, learning, events, and daily operations across our facilities. This highly visible role combines hands-on technical support, classroom and audiovisual technology expertise, project coordination, and technology consultation in a collaborative higher education environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as UNDE’s primary technology partner, building trusted relationships with students, faculty, staff, affiliates, and visiting program participants while delivering exceptional technology experiences.

  • Lead the delivery and support of local technology services, including end-user computing, classroom and instructional technologies, audiovisual systems, event technology, printing, telephony, and other solutions essential to teaching, learning, and daily operations.

  • Provide technology consultation and guidance, working with stakeholders to understand business and academic needs, recommend solutions, and identify opportunities to enhance services and operational effectiveness.

  • Coordinate technology initiatives and improvements, partnering with local leadership and technology teams to implement projects, evaluate new technologies, and ensure services remain secure, reliable, and aligned with organizational standards.

Why Join UNDE?

  • Work in a unique international academic environment in central London

  • Build meaningful relationships with students, faculty, and staff from around the world

  • Enjoy a diverse role that combines technical support, consultation, project work, and instructional technology

  • Collaborate with colleagues across multiple institutions and geographic locations

  • Help shape and enhance technology services that directly support teaching, learning, and community engagement

What We're Looking For

  • A strong technical generalist with expertise in audiovisual technologies, as well as experience supporting end-user computing, classroom technologies, and business systems in a professional, academic, or service-oriented environment.

  • An exceptional relationship builder and communicator who can effectively partner with diverse stakeholders, translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences, and deliver a high level of customer service.

  • A proactive problem solver with strong troubleshooting skills, sound technical judgment, and the ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.

  • A consultative and collaborative technology professional who can understand stakeholder needs, recommend effective solutions, and contribute to technology projects and service improvements.

  • A self-directed professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, manages competing priorities effectively, and is flexible in supporting occasional academic and event-related activities outside standard business hours.

  • A qualified professional with a Bachelor’s degree who brings a consultative approach, strong technical judgment, and the flexibility to support dynamic academic and event activities.

Preferred Experience

Successful candidates will bring experience across several of the following areas, along with the ability and desire to expand their expertise in others:

  • Classroom, instructional, audiovisual, or event technologies

  • Windows and macOS endpoint management

  • Google Workspace and collaboration platforms

  • Technology project coordination and implementation

  • Enterprise print, telephony, or other workplace technology services

  • Cybersecurity, data privacy, and secure technology operations

  • Higher education or similarly complex service environments

  • Location: This is an onsite position at University of Notre Dame (USA) in England, 1-4 Suffolk Street, London, SW1Y 4HG United Kingdom
  • Salary: up to £50,000, dependent on experience
  • Please include a cover letter and resume for full consideration of your application
  • Required: current, valid legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom
