Clinical Work Placement Coordinator
Location: Auckland CBD
Full-Time | Fixed-Term | HANZ Auckland Central Campus
Please note this is a fixed-term opportunity covering maternity leave, ending in June 2027. Immediately available candidates preferred.
About the role:
Working closely with the Strategic Relationships and Development Lead, the Clinical Work Placement Coordinator provides operational and administrative support for the planning, coordination, and monitoring of clinical placements for nursing ākonga, for the Diploma in Enrolled Nursing (He Tohu Pōkairua Nāhi) (Level 5) programme.
The role supports placement provider engagement, learner allocation, compliance tracking, and accurate reporting to ensure high-quality placement experiences that meet programme and Nursing Council regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate clinical placements for ākonga across the Health Faculty.
- Maintain strong relationships with industry partners, placement sites, and programme stakeholders.
- Deliver high-quality preceptor training and support to clinical supervisors.
- Support ākonga throughout their placement journey, helping resolve any challenges.
- Maintain accurate placement records, MOUs, and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Uphold and promote te reo Māori, tikanga Māori, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in all work.
About You:
- Demonstrated experience in the coordinating or administering ākonga work placements or similar programmes
- A background in Nursing is preferred but not required
- Understanding of nursing clinical placement standards (preferred).
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Experience working with databases, Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365, or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms
- Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dedication to upholding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
