Job Summary:
The Sales Manager / Assistant Sales Manager is responsible for driving hotel revenue through proactive sales activities, business development, and relationship management. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets across corporate, leisure, and group segments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote the hotel and Accor brand to existing, potential, and former clients within the assigned market segments
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate accounts, travel agents, event planners, and other key business partners
- Identify new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, sales calls, and market research
- Conduct site inspections, sales presentations, and client meetings to showcase the hotel's facilities and services
- Achieve individual and departmental revenue targets, including room nights, meeting and event revenue, ADR, and occupancy objectives
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive advantage
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and rate agreements while ensuring compliance with hotel policies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, account information, and sales activities within the hotel's systems
- Collaborate closely with Reservations, Front Office, Events, Revenue Management, and other operational departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Respond promptly to client enquiries, feedback, and complaints, ensuring appropriate follow-up and resolution
- Participate in sales missions, networking events, trade shows, and industry functions as required
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, account production analyses, and market intelligence updates
- Support the onboarding, coaching, and development of junior sales team members where applicable
- Contribute to the implementation of the hotel's sales and marketing strategies to maximize revenue opportunities
- Perform any other duties assigned by the management team
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience for Assistant Sales Manager or 5 years for Sales Manager, preferably within the hospitality industry
- Proven track record in business development, account management, and achieving sales targets
- Strong networking, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience conducting sales calls, prospecting activities, client meetings, and site inspections
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Willingness to travel and attend business events when required
