Operations & Assembly Technician

Our Palmerston North client is looking for an Operations and Assembly Technician to join their team in a hands-on and varied role, supporting everything from assembly and order fulfilment through to inventory management and dispatch.

As a New Zealand-based manufacturer of precision power distribution and backup power solutions for critical infrastructure, they design, engineer and assemble their products locally. Their size is their strength, with a close-knit team, everyone plays an important role in the success of the business. No two days are quite the same, and you'll have the opportunity to learn new skills, take ownership of your work, and contribute across multiple areas of the operation.

You'll be involved in product assembly, inwards goods, stock management, packing and dispatch, while helping ensure products are delivered to customers accurately and on time. This role suits someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

Experience working with tools and electrical components would be advantageous, but we're equally interested in candidates who have a willingness to learn, strong attention to detail, and a hands-on approach. You’re comfortable working independently when required, adaptable to changing priorities, and bring a positive attitude to everything you do. From time to time, heavy lifting will be involved, so a moderate level of physical fitness is important.

This role is full-time and based onsite in Palmerston North.
