Job Expectations

Build your career and Australia’s future.

Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Assistant supporting the Chief Strategy Officer.

A bit about your role

In this role, you will bring care, structure, and thoughtful anticipation to the day-to-day rhythm to the Chief Strategy Officer and their leadership team. You will proactively and strategically manage complex diaries, travel, and accommodation, thoughtfully coordinating meetings end to end, from shaping agendas through to capturing outcomes and following through on actions. Your ability to provide clarify will ensure priorities are visible, time is protected, and outcomes are achieved with intention.

You will partner closely with the broader support team and stakeholders across the business, building trusted relationships and working collaboratively to deliver smooth, well-organised experiences across meetings, off-sites, and team events. With a strong sense of ownership, you will coordinate logistics, manage communications, and ensure all participants feel prepared, included, and set up for success.

You will also champion best practice across office and document management, bringing consistency and care to how information is organised, shared, and maintained. From supporting team engagement initiatives to preparing polished communications on behalf of your executive, you will help foster a connected, cohesive, and high-performing environment.

A bit about you

You are an experienced and intuitive Executive Assistant who thrives in a dynamic environment, bringing a calm, considered presence and a genuine passion for supporting others. With several years’ experience partnering with senior leaders, you are confident navigating complexity, balancing competing priorities, and building strong, respectful relationships across all levels of an organisation.

You bring a thoughtful mix of organisation, judgement, and adaptability, along with a natural ability to anticipate needs before they arise. Your communication style is warm, clear, and inclusive, enabling you to collaborate effectively and support positive, constructive outcomes. You take pride in your attention to detail, your ability to follow through, and your commitment to continuous improvement in how work is delivered.

Ideally, you have experience within large, complex environments and are comfortable working across evolving priorities with professionalism and care. You are confident using Microsoft Office and office management tools, and you bring a proactive mindset when improving processes or supporting team effectiveness. Above all, you are a supportive, team-oriented professional who values purpose, connection, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to nbn’s mission.
