Job Description Summary
GE Vernova Hungary kft. Software & Controls Solutions is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer specializing in turbine control cabinet assembly. Reporting to the EU Supply Chain Leader, the Lead Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations of the warehouse, shopfloor and test area, ensuring that processes run smoothly, efficiently and meet established KPIs, quality standards and production schedules.The position is currently based at our Veresegyház facility, but due to team expansion, this production area will relocate to Budapest, therefor, starting from autumn 2026, the new permanent place of work will be in the 4th district of Budapest.
Job Description
What you’ll do
- You will take on leadership responsibilities, coordinating a team of approximately 10–12 employees, including both white-collar and blue-collar team members
- Define and control production and test processes such as calibration, tooling and equipment definition and maintenance
- Accountable for meeting production related KPIs
- Own Supply Chain related non-conformances
- Champion SQDC (Safety-Quality-Delivery-Cost) culture
- Ensuring efficiency and continuous improvement of 3rd party project executions from Supply Chain standpoint
- Participating in project-related meetings
- Maintain relevant Work Instructions and provide training for Supply Chain personnel
- Collect and report data for Supply Chain leader on production related KPIs
- Support Engineering in validating design specifications and shop floor application of new products, tools or equipment
- Document Supply Chain related nonconformances, drive quick and effective resolution, monitor and eliminate defect trends
- Collaborate within Supply Chain and with other functions (Engineering, Quality, Project Management, Services, Sourcing) on Supply Chain related tasks and improvements, including Supplier development
- Daily use of Enterprise Management System Implement and maintain Lean manufacturing principles and other best practices. Conduct daily Gemba
- Support internal and external audits to demonstrate compliance and performance
- Communicate and execute company goals, policies, and procedures in the workplace.
- Training, briefing and monitoring of compliance with all EHS policies and continuous improvement of these standards.
- Work together with other business teams to ensure competitiveness, by understanding processes and implementing best practices.
- The role involves approximately 2–3 international business trips per year, typically to the United States.
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- BSc Engineering degree from an accredited university or college.
- Fluent Hungarian and English language skills
- Some experience in a similar position
- Good communication skills
What will make you stand out
- Mechanical / Electrical Engineering degree.
- 6Sigma / Lean knowledge.
- Familiarity with SAP, AutoCAD, CorelDraw, EPLAN.
- Ability to collaborate effectively - sustaining relationships amidst rapid organizational changes.
- Cross-functional experience in industrial environments.
