Job description

Overview

We are looking for a Shipping Commercial Performance & Analytics Manager to drive commercial insights and performance management within our Shipping product segment.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing commercial and sales performance analytics and delivering decision support to senior leadership, including the CG LT and executive team. Your work will directly contribute to shaping sales strategy and improving commercial outcomes.

Job Description

You will build and own performance metrics and analytical frameworks that enable data-driven decision-making across the Shipping product segment. From defining KPIs to creating advanced analytical models and dashboards, you will provide actionable insights to drive commercial success.

While your primary focus is Shipping, you will be part of a broader performance management team working across product segments and collaborating closely with Logistics and SCS commercial performance managers.

You will also partner closely with Sales teams and Shipping Business Performance Managers, complementing their operational focus with a strong commercial, customer, and portfolio perspective.

Key responsibilities

Define and develop KPIs to track commercial and sales performance, ensuring alignment with the overall performance framework

Build and maintain scalable data models and integrate relevant data sources in collaboration with the CDO organization

Develop and enhance dashboards and analytical tools to provide clear, actionable performance insights

Lead sales performance analysis (e.g., pipeline quality, conversion), and support Sales leadership with reviews, target setting, and improvement initiatives

Evaluate sales initiatives and translate complex data into actionable recommendations

Drive commercial performance analysis across revenue, margin, pricing, and volumes at customer and portfolio level

Develop customer profitability models and ensure reliable performance tracking by identifying data gaps and assumptions

Collaborate with Business Units, Finance, BPMs, and market teams on scenario modelling and “so-what” analysis

Identify key performance drivers and clearly explain business outcomes

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial performance management, sales analytics, revenue management, or similar analytical roles
  • Proven ability to independently deliver end-to-end analytical solutions (from data extraction to business insights)
  • Strong hands-on experience with data tools such as SQL, Python (or similar), and BI platforms
  • Experience working with complex or imperfect datasets and translating them into actionable insights
  • Experience from B2B industries such as shipping, logistics, or transportation is strongly preferred
  • Strong commercial and financial understanding (revenue, margin, pricing, volume, profitability drivers)
  • Experience with customer-level profitability and cost-to-serve models
  • Strong scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis capabilities
  • Solid understanding of data structures, data modelling, and governance principles
  • Advanced skills in analytical and BI tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI)
  • Knowledge of WalWil’s product segments, customers, and performance drivers is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

WHAT YOU BRING

You are a highly analytical and commercially minded professional who thrives on turning data into actionable insights. You are comfortable working across functions, influencing stakeholders, and driving performance improvements in a complex, data-rich environment.
