Overview
***This position is physically located in the Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP***
The Nurse Manager oversees nursing operations within a medical facility, providing leadership, supervision, and administrative guidance to nursing staff. The role ensures delivery of high-quality patient care, compliance with regulatory standards, and efficient workflow across inpatient, outpatient, and specialty nursing services.

- Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to nursing staff.
- Develop, implement, and enforce nursing policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Ensure nursing care is delivered in accordance with regulatory, quality, and safety standards.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and workflow to meet patient care demands.
- Monitor performance, conduct evaluations, and support professional development of nursing personnel.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and compliance records for nursing operations.
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance patient care quality.
- Respond to clinical and administrative issues, including patient care concerns and emergency situations.
- On-call duties 24/7.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications : Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
- Education :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Nurse Manager or in a comparable supervisory nursing role.
- Licensure / Registration:
- Current, active, unrestricted RN license in at least one U.S. state (Hawaii recommended).
- Additional Requirements
- Maintain licensure for the duration of employment.
- Meet all medical, security, credentialing, and deployment requirements.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of nursing practice standards, quality assurance, and patient safety regulations.
- Ability to mentor, coach, and evaluate nursing personnel effectively.
- Ability to operate in deployed, austere, or resource-limited environments.
- Proficient in electronic medical records and reporting systems.
- Working Conditions:
- Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures of 130 degrees in the summer months).
- Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well
- The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard about ambient noise level.
- The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals
- Physical requirements:
- Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
- Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
- Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
