Job Purpose
To lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of assurance and compliance programs within the Safety & Security department. The Lead Specialist ensures that all safety and security operations adhere to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and international standards, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities
- Design and execute compliance frameworks and assurance plans across safety and security functions.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely updates to internal policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote compliance awareness and training.
- Prepare reports and dashboards for senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure proper documentation and follow-up.
- Support external audits and certification processes (e.g., ISO standards).
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to the development of compliance capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Risk, Engineering, or related field. Certifications in compliance, auditing, or safety (e.g., ISO Lead Auditor, NEBOSH) preferred.
Minimum Experience
8–10 years of experience in safety assurance, compliance, or risk management, preferably in industrial or high-risk environments.
